RNLI Visit

20th Jun 2017

Today we had a visit from the RNLI. We were delighted to see Ms Mooney and Miss Nellis, who sometimes teaches in our school. They are both RNLI volunteers. The ladies told us all about the difficult training involved and all the clothes they have to quickly put on to go out in the lifeboats. They told us all about their jobs and how we can be safe at the beach. We were allowed to try on the life jackets and lifeguard outfits. We were given information booklets and some pens and rulers. The RNLI relies on charitable donations to continue and we are very lucky to have such brave and selfless people ready to help us when we need them. Thank you very much for coming to talk to us.
