Tools for Solidarity workshop
Is carthanacht í Tools for Solidarity a ghlacann seanuirlisí agus innill fuála, a dheisíonn iad agus a chuireann iad ar aghaigh chuig tíortha san Afraic, ar nós na Tansáine agus an Maláive. Bunaíodh an charthanacht sna 80í i mBéal Feirste le tacú le cuid de na daoine is boichte ar domhan.
Tools for Solidarity is a charity that collects used and broken tools and sewing machines and fixes them to be used in countries in Africa. It was founded in Belfast in the 80s and has helped people all over the world.
Labhair Róisín Sloan, duine de na hoibrithe deonacha le Tools for Solidarity, linn faoin obair a dhéanann an charthanacht agus an tábhacht a bhaineann le dul i ngleic le fadbanna sóisialta ar fud an domhain.
Róisín Sloan came to our class, one of the volunteers for Tools, to speak to us about the important work the charity does for social problems worldwide.
Plé muid faoi na hathruithe beaga atá siad ag iarraidh a dhéanamh ina saol pearsanta le tionchar dearfach a imirt ar an domhan thart orainn.
We discussed the small changes we could make on a personal level to make a positive impact on the world around us.
