Road Safety | Sábháilteacht Bhóthair
The school has one School Crossing Patrol – at the front gate of the school.
Children are given lessons in Road Safety in all classes. However, it is the responsibility of parents to ensure the safety of their child on the way to and from school.
While the Education Authority, South Eastern Region, will endeavour to provide a school crossing patrol service, they sometimes find it difficult to obtain temporary cover when regular patrol staff is absent. We would therefore suggest that you show your child where and when to cross and introduce him/ her to the school crossing patrol. It is important that you prepare a contingency plan, which is fully understood by your child and which can be put into operation, should he/she discover that the regular Patrol is not on duty.
