The mainstream of the school is Co-educational and caters for girls and boys. There is an Irish Unit within the school, which educates pupils through the medium of Irish. This unit is also co-educational. In addition, the school has 2 Learning Support Centres for children with moderate learning difficulties. These centres are housed within the main school building. The enrolment number for the year 2024/2025 is 373.
The school’s annual admissions number is set by DENI at 75. Application forms may be obtained from the online portal which opens in January.

Admissions for September 2025
Admissions Criteria for Primary Schools will be published on Thursday 5th December 2024.
If your child was born between 2 July 2020 and 1 July 2021 they are due to start P1 in September 2025 as they will be of Compulsory School Age and you must apply for a place in a Primary School.
Children born on or between 1 April 2020 and 1 July 2020 (inclusive) and children born before 1 April 2020 but with a due date on or after 1 April 2020 whose parents deferred their admission to primary school in September 2024 must also now apply for a place in a Primary School for September 2025.
Children born on or between 1 April 2021 and 1 July 2021 (inclusive) and children born before 1 April 2021 but whose due date was on or after this date may submit a request to defer P1 admission for September 2025. For more information visit ‘Deferral of School Starting Age’
The School Age (NI) Act became law in Northern Ireland on 28 April 2022 and has changed the law to allow the parents/guardians of younger children in the year group a choice to defer their child starting primary school by one year should they wish to do so.
